Treasure altered box for Finnabair CT + VIDEO TUTORIAL by Marta

Hello everyone ;)

Welcome in new year ! Is the time going so fast for you too ?
I would like to take a moment here and wish you that this year will be the most creative one and full of special moments.
Every time you is very special to me.
Your comments add wings and mobilize to create special pieces just for you.
Today's project is special for me.
It's an altered treasured box for Finnabair Creative Team.
It's a metaphor box, I placed there my dreams and hopes for the 2015 year.

I created this mixed media piece by using plenty of mixed media products.
My first base coat was made with white crackle texture paste.

​

I added mechanicals from Finnabair and some metal pieces from my stash. I also sticked some paper flowers.

I also sticked some glass glitter, glass beads and mica flakes using 3D gloss gel.

​

The whole piece was covered with heavy gesso and painted with sprays from Lindy's Stamp Gang and ColourArte silks.

Freedom of my journal pages + HOW TO TUTORIAL

Hello everyone,

Happy New Year !!!

Here it is 2015 already. Not sure how about you but my 2014 flew so fast.

It's been an amazing, interesting and such a fun year.

I hope new journey will be at least as good.

I would love to share with you my recent journal pages.

Those works were created just for me, in my spare time, when I felt like creating.

I hope you have free time like this, when you make things with no plan and no restrictions.

I looove that way of creating, the final project is always a huge surprise ;)

This page is one of my favourite for sure !

On my desk - decoupage journal, using napkin with tulips.

Natural look...

Bubbles are very popular in mixed media world. Every mixed media artist created at least one project with bubbles. I must say I like bubbles myslef a lot ;)

Another decujournal using napkin. I love this technique. If you don't know this way of creating please feel free to watch my video showing the whole creative process. Enjoy xx

'Life' mixed media journal page + VIDEO tutorial by Marta Lapkowska

Hello everyone and Happy New 2015 year.

I hope you will have an amazing coming year.

I wish you many happy moments and health as my dad keep saying it's most important :)

It's my last project for 2014.

Last but one of my favourite. 

In this project I used my favourite of all sprays from Lindy's Stamp Gang. On the video you will have all the names for all sprays used.

To build my backround at the very beggining I used mediums from Finnabair. Gesso and pastes. 

Here you can take a look at all the mixed media mediums range.

Journals are my love. They tought me how to play and let go.

Creating spreads is like taking a walk into new world. Learning, discovering and most importantly enjoying.

I have also prepared video tutorial for my page.

It's mixed media page with 'decoupage touch' as I call it technique - decujournal.

I added decoupage technique which I learned ages ago while making decu bottles, home decorations etc.
