'Keep Calm & Make Art'

Hello everyone ;)

Today I would love to share with you my mixed media art journal spread.

Journals are those type of works in which I can create most colourful and textured backrounds.

Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays are perfect for this.

In this project I used different shared of greens plus yellow and black.

I used Greased Lightnin Green, Tainted Love Teal, T-bird Turquoise, Golden Sleigh Bells and additionally Frolic in the Forest Black. I sprayed the colours over Prima stencil. I have mixed my mogeling paste with glass glitter from Prima.

As final touches I added stickers and some flowers.

I hope I have inspired you to grab your own journal (can be old book) and start creating !

Mixed media background VIDEO tutorial for Blue Fern Studios

Hello my crafty souls,

For todays post I created mixed media scrapbooking page 'Laughter'.

This is very special work for me. The photo shows myself with my two loved ones.

To create my background I used some sprays and liquid pearls.

I tried to follow colour scheme of the beautiful bird from the page.

Additionally I add stamps and chipboards.

'Love' mini canvas + VIDEO tutorial

Hello everyone, it's Marta here.

I am back to you with a mini canvas with step by step tutorial. 

This project is paper based with sprayed background and flowers.

To create my background I used Finnabair stencil with March 2015 Limited Edition Spray Set.

This is wonderful colour set, delicate and with shabby chic feeling. Papers and paper embellishments are from 7 Dots Studio. I added small flowers from my stash.

I used Golden Angel Wings embossing powder over the chipboards from Blue Fern Studios.

I hope you will enjoy my video and you will find some inspiration.

Assemblage canvas for Finnabair Creative Team (mixed media)

Hello everyone !

Today I would love to share with you my mixed media assemblage work.
Have you ever heard of the term: assemblage art ? Assemblage is an artistic process. In the visual arts, it's making three-dimensional or two-dimensional artistic compositions by putting together found objects.
I remember seeing assemblage creations for the first time... it was love at first sight.
I adore the idea of putting together found objects. You can create any sort of dimentional pieces. You can mix metal, wood, plastic and more.

I created a mini assemblage canvas with Mr Chillin (name given by my friend) :)

Usually assemblage creations are left bare, no added colours. I decided to add my own touch to this technique and add some colours. :)

If you take a closer look, you will see some interesting objects there - screwdrivers, tiny goggles or earphones.

You can mix and match many different elements to create your composition.
